New Student Fee Information
The New Student Fee, charged to all undergraduates in their first semester, helps in creating a first-year experience that starts you on a strong path to graduation. Your new student fee covers orientation (SOAR), new student welcome events, first-year experience programs and course options, academic advising, materials, faculty/TA training, staffing, technology, and much more.
The fee will appear on your first semester Tuition and Fees bill. The fee is mandatory for all new students regardless of number of credits and degree program. The cost of this fee will be considered in the cost of attendance for the first semester of your financial aid package. For more information about Financial Aid visit www.finaid.wisc.edu

Welcome to the Center for the First-Year Experience (CFYE) sponsorship page. We are excited that you have an interest in getting involved with first-year students and their families.
In an effort to manage the multiple requests, we have created a process for you. Please complete the brief questionnaire below regarding your business or group, including your areas of interest. We will consider the completed form as a request for response from our office. If you do not fill out the form, no requests can be considered.
At this time, we are not soliciting requests for outside presenters. Nor do we have opportunities to provide tables or information booths to off-campus vendors at any of our programs.
We respectfully request that you DO NOT call our office. We review sponsorship opportunities in January for events, programs and publications for the upcoming academic year. We will contact you during this time with further details.
